I am a service-connected combat-deployed disabled veteran having served in the 1991 Persian Gulf War (Operations' Desert Shield, Desert Storm and Provide Comfort), combat training, range operations and various special operation missions in support of the Global War On Terrorism (GWOT) with numerous service-related awards and commendations. I served in the US Army Reserves, Active Army, South Carolina Army National Guard and retired from the Virginia Army National Guard (Total military service: 1984-2005; 21 years). I have served in civilian capacities from construction-site laborer, transportation (long-haul truck driver), educator, education adminstrator, store operations manager trainee and manager, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Executive Officer and others, also with numerous commendations. While I am a proud American Veteran with many life-long accomplishments and continued advocacy; I would give it all back for a lifetime free of chronic mental and physical pain and serve in the armed forces again.
